Pakistan People’s Party has announced to support PML-N candidate in the upcoming bye-election in National Assembly constituency of NA-118 Nankana Sahib.
This was announced by PPP leader Hassan Murtaza at a joint news conference with PML-N leader Nadeem Kamran in Lahore on Thursday.
PML-N candidate Dr Shezra Mansab, who had emerged as a runner up in the last general election, was also present on the occasion,
Hasan Murtaza said it was a joint decision of the leadership of both parties to support a candidate in the bye-election, who had been the runner up in last elections.
He said the country is facing multiple crises due to inflation and flood. He said there is a difficult situation in Rajanpur and Dera Ghazi Khan districts due to floods, which requires collective efforts to reduce the losses.
Nadeem Kamran said it is a fact that Pakistan is facing worst kind of floods of the history, but continuity of political process like bye-election is also vital for the stability in the country. In view of devastating floods, he said a national spirit is need of the hour to help the flood-affected people.
It is pertinent to mention that bye-election in NA-118 will be held on 25th of next month.
