Lahore: Minister for Planning and Development, Ahsan Iqbal, has underscored the necessity of political stability for achieving sustainable economic development. He shared these insights while speaking to newsmen after presiding over the inaugural meeting of the Federation of Engineering Institutions of Pakistan in Lahore.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Minister highlighted the implementation of a zero-tolerance policy towards elements attempting to disrupt national harmony. He stressed the importance of infrastructure development projects, which are crucial for fostering export-led growth. Acknowledging the impacts of climate change, he noted the necessity of incorporating these considerations into the planning of durable infrastructure.
Ahsan Iqbal further elaborated on the Uraan Pakistan Program, describing it as a pivotal initiative for the country’s progress and prosperity. He emphasized the role of modern technology in economic advancement, stating that no economic sector can thrive without the adoption of innovative technology, with engineers playing a vital role in this progression.
