Head of Development Cooperation at the German Embassy Sebastian Paust called on Prime Minister's Coordinator on Climate Change Romina Khurshid Alam in Islamabad today. On this occasion, Sebastian Paust said that his country and organization are well aware of the climate risks being faced by Pakistan. He also showed interest to work with Pakistan to address environmental and climate change challenges. Highlighting the steps taken by the government for achieving environmental sustainability, Romina Khurshid Alam termed climate-resilient building, e-waste management, climate tourism, climate sports, SDGs, disaster management and mainstreaming women into climate risk management as the priority areas. The PM's coordinator also thanked the German delegation and assured all-out support to launch any initiative that helps Pakistan achieve sustainable development goals, particularly related to climate change, education, health, environment and disaster risk management.
