Islamabad: Mainly cold and dry weather, with particularly cold conditions in hilly areas during morning and night, is likely to prevail over most parts of the country during the next twelve hours. However, there is a possibility of partly cloudy weather accompanied by light rain and snowfall at isolated locations in Gilgit Baltistan. Additionally, smog and shallow fog patches could develop over the plain areas of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, especially during the morning and night hours.
According to Radio Pakistan, the temperature recorded in major cities this morning reflects the seasonal chill, with Islamabad at nine degrees centigrade, Lahore at fourteen, Karachi at seventeen, Peshawar at eight, Quetta at two, Gilgit at minus-one, Murree at five, and Muzafarabad at six degrees centigrade.
The weather forecast for Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir predicts cold and dry conditions in Srinagar, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian, and Baramula, with very cold and dry weather expected in Leh and dry conditions anticipated in Jammu. This morning, temperatures in these regions were recorded at three degrees centigrade in Srinagar, Pulwama, and Baramula, eleven in Jammu, minus-six in Leh, and two degrees centigrade in Anantnag and Shopian.
