Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has expressed satisfaction over the recent Gallup Survey Business Confidence Index report on confidence of businesses in Pakistan’s economic direction. In a statement, he said the report’s finding that business confidence in Pakistan’s economy has reached a four-year high is an encouraging sign.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister noted that the initiatives and reforms introduced by the government have brought transparency to the system and ensured convenience for the business community. He highlighted the digitalization of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and reforms in the energy sector as pivotal actions that have opened new avenues for business and investment in the country.
The Prime Minister expressed satisfaction with the improvements in transparency and economic indicators, attributing these advancements to the government’s prudent policies. He emphasized that the benefits of macroeconomic reforms are beginning to reach the common man, and the government is making efforts to further enhance institutional performance.
Shehbaz Sharif also mentioned that the scope of consultation with the business community is being expanded, as the government continues to facilitate the business community and investors.
