Islamabad: A briefing session was held in Islamabad on Monday with Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar in the chair to oversee preparations in context of the Prime Minister’s upcoming visit, to attend the 56th annual meeting of the World Economic Forum in Switzerland next month. The Foreign Secretary and Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to Geneva, along with senior officials, briefed Ishaq Dar about the preparations, tentative program, and agenda of the WEF.
According to Radio Pakistan, the bilateral component related to the visit and extensive media engagements during the visit were also discussed in detail. Ishaq Dar instructed to maximize the engagements with the incoming Heads of States, Governments, and senior leadership of economic, business, and financial institutions. He further stressed that opportunities be explored to foster collaboration with private sector business entities.
The Forum’s annual meeting is being held in Davos-Klosters from the 19th to the 23rd of the next month under the theme of ‘A Spirit of Dialogue.’
