PM Shehbaz Sharif Pledges to Strengthen Economic Ties with Turkiye in Agriculture Sector

Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has reaffirmed Pakistan's commitment to enhancing its economic partnership and brotherly relations with Turkiye. This announcement was made during a meeting with a Turkish delegation led by Abdulkadir Karag¶z, Chairman of the Board of Turkish Agricultural Technologies Cluster, held in Islamabad.

According to Radio Pakistan, Prime Minister Sharif emphasized the vast opportunities available to amplify cooperation with Turkiye, specifically in the agriculture and livestock sectors. He commended Turkiye's advancements in these fields through the use of modern technology and expressed Pakistan's determination to integrate similar innovations into its agricultural practices.

The Prime Minister highlighted Pakistan's rich natural resources in agriculture and outlined ongoing efforts to maximize these resources by adopting modern technology. He further noted the potential for Pakistan and Turkiye to play a significant role in the global food value chain.

Abdulkadir Karag¶z, representing the Turkish delegation, praised the leadership of both countries as a source of inspiration for enhancing business cooperation. He provided insights into the use of modern technology to boost production and expressed eagerness to strengthen collaboration between Pakistan and Turkiye in agriculture and livestock sectors.
