Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has arrived in Ashgabat for a two-day official visit to Turkmenistan. Upon his arrival at Ashgabat International Airport, he was warmly received by Mammetkhan Chakyyev, the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Head of Transport and Communications.
According to Radio Pakistan, the visit is taking place at the invitation of Turkmenistan President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. Prime Minister Sharif is scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting with President Berdimuhamedov during his stay.
The Prime Minister will also attend a high-level forum tomorrow. The forum is organized in connection with the International Year of Peace and Trust 2025, the International Day of Neutrality, and the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality.
Accompanying the Prime Minister are key members of the Pakistani delegation, including Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar, Federal Minister for Power Sardar Awais Khan Leghari, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, and Special Assistants Tariq Fatemi and Talha Burki.
