PM Shehbaz Arrives in Uzbekistan for Key Bilateral Talks


Tashkent: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has arrived in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, for a two-day visit aimed at strengthening bilateral ties between the two nations. Upon his arrival, he was warmly received by Uzbekistan’s Prime Minister, Abdulla Nigmatovich Aripov.



According to Radio Pakistan, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the President of Uzbekistan are scheduled to engage in a bilateral meeting to discuss a wide range of cooperative areas. These discussions will encompass connectivity, economic partnerships, trade, investment opportunities, energy collaboration, defense and security matters, regional stability, and educational exchange programs. The leaders will also share perspectives on regional and international issues of mutual concern.



During the visit, several bilateral agreements and Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) are expected to be signed, further solidifying the relationship between Pakistan and Uzbekistan. In addition to the diplomatic engagements, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is set to address the Pakistan-Uzbekistan Business Forum. This forum will see participation from leading businessmen from both countries, who will engage in business-to-business meetings to explore avenues for enhancing bilateral trade.



In a separate event, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif visited the independence monument in Tashkent today. He paid his respects by laying a floral wreath at the monument, marking a gesture of goodwill and respect towards Uzbekistan.
