Lachin: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has reiterated the call for an immediate and permanent ceasefire in Gaza. Addressing a ceremony in Lachin to mark Azerbaijan’s Independence Day, Shehbaz Sharif stated that freedom is a basic right and a just cause to support.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister emphasized that the martyrdom of innocent Palestinians must stop immediately and they must be given the right to self-determination as per the two-state solution. He highlighted the freedom struggle of the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, noting that the Kashmiris have resisted Indian control for many decades.
He asserted that the Kashmiri people will continue their struggle until they secure their basic right to freedom, as outlined in the UN Security Council resolutions. Shehbaz Sharif also expressed gratitude to Azerbaijan and Turkiye for supporting the cause of Jammu and Kashmir.
Moreover, he paid tribute to the people of Azerbaijan who fought for their country’s independence, mentioning that Pakistan has politically and diplomatically supported the brotherly people of Azerbaijan.
