Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has directed the relevant authorities to expedite work on under-construction Daanish university and schools across the country. He was chairing a meeting in Islamabad to review the progress on construction of 15 new Daanish Schools across the country.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister emphasized the need for high-quality construction and third-party validation of the Daanish Schools and University. These projects are a government priority aimed at providing high-quality education to deserving students across the nation. The Prime Minister instructed the installation of smart boards and digital libraries in every Daanish School countrywide. Additionally, he stressed that the appointment of teachers should be merit-based and transparent, with a preference for local teachers in the areas where the schools are being constructed.
The Prime Minister also requested proposals for establishing a Daanish Authority. During the meeting, updates were provided on the ongoing work at various Daanish Schools and the Daanish University in Islamabad. The attendees were informed that the Daanish School in Islamabad is slated for completion in December this year, with schools in Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir expected to be completed by June next year.
The feasibility and design of Daanish Schools in various areas of Balochistan, including Sibi, Musakhel, and Zhob, have been finalized, and the process of acquiring land for schools in Hub, Karachi, and Chitral is underway. The meeting revealed that land for the Daanish University has been allocated with the approval of the federal cabinet. An expert consultant will be appointed to handle the feasibility and design of the university.
