PM Hails TI’s Report on Public Perception of Corruption in Pakistan


Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed satisfaction over Transparency International’s report on public perception of corruption in Pakistan. In a statement, the Prime Minister mentioned that according to the survey, a significant portion of the public felt they had not encountered corruption during his government’s tenure. He stated that this opinion serves as a recognition of the government’s efforts in combating corruption and promoting transparency.



According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister highlighted that the majority of the population has viewed the government’s economic recovery measures as successful, which he finds highly encouraging. Shehbaz Sharif emphasized that this report from Transparency International validates the successful reforms implemented by his administration. He noted that the government prioritized establishing a merit-based and transparent system across all sectors and remains committed to continuing these efforts.



The Prime Minister attributed the positive public feedback on improving economic indicators, reforms, and government policies to effective teamwork. He specifically commended the efforts of Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Finance Minister Mohammad Aurangzeb, and their respective teams.



He concluded by stating that the journey towards progress has commenced with economic stability. The government is dedicated to further enhancing the country’s economy, providing excellent services to the public, and completely eradicating corruption.
