PM Hails MWL for Promoting True Image of Islam


Islamabad: Secretary General of Muslim World League Dr. Mohammad bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa called on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad on Thursday. Lauding the Secretary General’s wise leadership, he said the Muslim World League plays a vital role globally in promoting the true image of Islam and advocating for the shared goals of the Muslim world.



According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister added that the Muslim World League has been at the forefront of fostering mutual respect and understanding among religions, beliefs, and civilizations. He noted that the international conference held this year with the League’s support on education for women and girls in the Muslim world was a highly positive initiative. He affirmed Pakistan’s full cooperation in organizing similar conferences in the future.



Highlighting Pakistan’s longstanding brotherly relations with Saudi Arabia, Shehbaz Sharif conveyed his best wishes for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud. He commended the outstanding and crucial role played by all Muslim countries, especially Saudi Arabia, in the Gaza peace agreement and in raising the voice of oppressed Palestinians at the international level.



The Secretary General of the Muslim World League thanked the Prime Minister for the warm welcome and hospitality in Pakistan. Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Minister for Law and Justice Azam Nazeer Tarar, and Saudi Ambassador Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Malki were also present on the occasion.
