Lahore: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has expressed grief and sorrow over the death of Chancellor of Jamia Ashrafia Lahore, Sheikh Al Hadith Hafiz Fazl-ur-Raheem Ashrafi. In his condolence message, he acknowledged the late chancellor as a distinguished religious scholar and eminent hadith expert who made significant contributions to the promotion of religious education.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister highlighted that Hafiz Fazl-ur-Raheem Ashrafi dedicated his life to teaching the Quran and Sunnah and promoting Islamic values and moral education. His efforts have benefited countless students and scholars.

The Prime Minister stated that the scholarly and religious contributions of the late scholar will always be remembered, and he acknowledged that the void left by his passing will be difficult to fill for a long time. Shehbaz Sharif extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, as well as the administration, teachers, students, and devotees of Jamia Ashrafia.
