Doha: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif undertook a day-long visit to Doha today, to personally convey condolences on behalf of the people and Government of Pakistan, to the leadership and people of Qatar on the passing away of the Father Amir, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister was accompanied by Former Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Information Minister Atta Ullah Tarar, and other senior officials. In Doha, the Pakistani delegation met with Qatari Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to express heartfelt condolences at the demise of the Father Amir. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif paid tribute to the late Father Amir's leadership and contributions to Qatar's transformation and regional stability.
The Prime Minister highlighted the Father Amir's affection for Pakistan and his memorable visits over the years. He reaffirmed Pakistan's solidarity with Qatar during this period of grief and prayed for the departed soul. The Amir of Qatar expressed gratitude to the Pakistani delegation for their visit, recognizing it as a testament to the strong fraternal ties between the two nations.
