Ashgabat: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has emphasized the need to resolve disputes peacefully through dialogue and diplomacy. Addressing an international forum on the occasion of the “International Year of Peace and Trust 2025,” the “International Day of Neutrality,” and the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality, the Prime Minister highlighted the importance of peaceful resolution as a cornerstone of Pakistan’s foreign policy.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister reiterated Pakistan’s support for the Gaza peace plan and its endorsement by the UN Security Council. Sharif affirmed Pakistan’s support for the right to self-determination of both Palestinian and Kashmiri people.
Addressing terrorism, Sharif urged the international community to press the Afghan Taliban regime to fulfill its international commitments and curb terror activities from its territory. He linked lasting peace to sustainable development, referencing the 2030 agenda as a blueprint for a peaceful world. The Prime Minister emphasized socio-economic development and financial inclusion, particularly for women and marginalized communities, as government priorities.
