PM Announces May 10 as Marka-e-Haq Day to Honor Operation Bunyanum Marsoos


Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has declared May 10 as Marka-e-Haq Day, to be celebrated annually in recognition of the successful operation Bunyanum Marsoos. He emphasized that the day would be observed with enthusiasm and national unity, as the professional capabilities of Pakistan’s armed forces evoke national pride.



According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister also announced the observance of Friday, May 16, as a day to honor the Armed Forces for their victory on the defense front and to express gratitude to Allah Almighty. This day will include special thanksgiving prayers for the nation’s development.



In light of the unprovoked Indian aggression, the Prime Minister unveiled a support package for affected Pakistanis. Families of citizens martyred during the aggression will receive ten million rupees each, while the injured will be compensated with one to two million rupees each. For the Armed Forces, heirs of martyrs will receive 10 to 18 million rupees, based on rank, and injured personnel will receive two to five million rupees.



Additionally, the Prime Minister announced financial provisions ranging from 19 to 42 million rupees for housing facilities for the families of martyrs, depending on rank. Martyrs’ families will continue to receive full salaries with allowances until the retirement date, and their children will be granted free education up to graduation. A marriage grant of one million rupees will also be provided for the marriage of one daughter of each martyr.



The Federal Government has committed to rebuilding homes and mosques damaged by the Indian attack and will cover all medical expenses for the injured. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif affirmed the government’s responsibility to support the children of martyrs and pledged national-level recognition for those who have defended Pakistan’s honor and glory, with appropriate honors to be awarded.
