Peshawar Stakeholders Approve Construction of Northern Bypass

Peshawar, A pivotal meeting chaired by Commissioner Peshawar Division Riaz Khan Mahsud has culminated in a unanimous decision to proceed with the construction of the Northern Bypass in Peshawar. This infrastructure project aims to connect Nasir Bagh Road with Takhta Baig Road, completing an essential 8-kilometer segment.

According to Zameen.Com, the meeting brought together key stakeholders, including the Deputy Commissioner of Khyber, officials from the National Highway Authority (NHA), and a 12-member delegation representing residents affected by the project. Commissioner Mahsud emphasized the importance of this project for the city’s development and assured that all efforts would be made to expedite the construction. He also highlighted the necessity of timely compensations for those displaced or adversely affected by the construction, instructing the NHA to ensure that remaining payments are made promptly.

Further, Mahsud ordered an investigation into allegations that previous compensations were misallocated to unrelated individuals, directing that these funds be recovered and correctly disbursed to legitimate claimants.
