Islamabad: Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, Chaudhry Salik Hussain, has reiterated the pledge that the people of Pakistan will never compromise on the country’s sovereignty. Addressing a seminar organized by the Workers Welfare Fund in connection with Marka-e-Haq in Islamabad, he emphasized the nation’s unwavering support for the armed forces in defending the motherland.
According to Radio Pakistan, the seminar highlighted the significance of Marka-e-Haq, marking a new chapter in Pakistan’s history that began in 1947. Chaudhry Salik Hussain noted that the nation’s survival and honor are defined not only by geographic borders but by a living ideology. He recalled a recent historical moment when Pakistan’s armed forces, led by Field Marshal Asim Munir, successfully thwarted Indian aggression, underscoring it as a victory of Pakistan’s founding ideology.
Chaudhry Salik Hussain also lauded the Workers Welfare Fund for its contributions in providing quality education, healthcare, and development opportunities to the labor class. Minister of State for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, Mohammad Awn Saqlain, echoed these sentiments, commending the Fund’s efforts for the betterment of industrial workers.
The seminar featured a welcome address by Secretary WWF Zulfiqar Ahmad and remarks by Director General NUML Brigadier Shahzad Munir, who reaffirmed the readiness of the armed forces to defend the nation. Students from WWF-sponsored educational institutions added to the patriotic fervor with songs and performances.
Concluding the ceremony, Chaudhry Salik Hussain distributed prizes and shields to the students, while Federal Secretary for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, Nadeem Aslam Chaudhary, along with numerous foreign and national dignitaries, attended the event.
