Lahore: Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Disaster Management Authorities have issued weather alerts about a strong cold wave, widespread rains, and snowfall across many areas starting today.

According to Radio Pakistan, a westerly wind system will enter Punjab from today, with heavy snowfall and rain expected in Murree, Galiyat, and other hilly areas from Tuesday to next Friday. During this period, rain is also likely in most districts of Punjab, including Lahore, Sargodha, Gujranwala, Sahiwal, Multan, Faisalabad, Dera Ghazi Khan, and Bahawalpur divisions.

Meanwhile, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Disaster Management Authority reports that rains and snowfall over hills in most parts of the province are expected from today until next Friday. The authorities have instructed all Deputy Commissioners to implement precautionary measures to minimize risks and prevent human or material losses during this spell of severe weather.
