Peshawar: Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has issued an alert about the first spell of monsoon rains in most parts of the province from tomorrow till Sunday. All the Deputy Commissioners have been directed to ensure precautionary measures to prevent any loss of life and property.

According to Radio Pakistan, PDMA has directed all the concerned departments to stay alert and ensure precautionary measures against landslides in hilly areas and flash floods in urban areas. The PDMA Control Room is fully operational and can be reached by dialing 1700 in case of an emergency.
