Partly Cloudy Weather and Cold Conditions Forecasted Across the Nation: PMD


Islamabad: Cold and partly cloudy weather is expected to prevail in most parts of the country, with very cold conditions anticipated in hilly areas over the next twelve hours. However, isolated places in Gilgit Baltistan, Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Kashmir might experience rain and light snowfall over the mountains.



According to Radio Pakistan, smog and moderate to dense fog patches are likely to persist during morning and night in Punjab, Upper Sindh, and the plain areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The temperature of major cities recorded this morning shows Islamabad and Muzaffarabad at six degrees centigrade, Lahore at thirteen, Karachi at fifteen, Peshawar at nine, Quetta at three, Gilgit at two, and Murree at four degrees centigrade.



The weather forecast for Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir predicts very cold and partly cloudy weather in Srinagar, with cloudy conditions and chances of rain and snowfall in Leh. Anantnag and Shopian are expected to experience partly cloudy to cloudy and cold weather. Baramula is forecasted to have cloudy weather with chances of rain and snowfall over hills, while Pulwama might see cloudy weather with chances of rain. Jammu is expected to have cold and partly cloudy weather. The temperature recorded this morning in these areas is as follows: Srinagar, Pulwama, and Shopian at two degrees centigrade, Jammu at ten, Leh at minus five, and Anantnag and Baramula at three degrees centigrade.
