Gwadar: The participants of the 27th National Security Workshop visited Gwadar, where they received a briefing on the strategic importance of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), the safe operation of Gwadar Port, and the coastal surveillance system.
According to Radio Pakistan, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) Gwadar provided a comprehensive briefing on the security situation in the region. He emphasized that peace and stability, along with investment, trade, and the protection of local development projects, are top priorities.
During the visit, a special briefing was also organized at the China Business Center Gwadar. The participants were informed about the ongoing development projects at Gwadar Port. They were also briefed on the coordinated operations by security forces aimed at curbing terrorism, preventing smuggling, and securing the coastal areas.
The participants paid tribute to the efforts of the Pakistan Army for establishing peace, providing a secure environment, and accelerating development in the Makran Division. They appreciated the positive permanent changes in the region, the investment opportunities, and the excellent security management. Additionally, the participants visited Pakistan Point Gwadar and Pakistan Naval Ship.
