Sharm el-sheikh: Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has expressed heartfelt gratitude to Pakistan for its unwavering support to the Palestinian people, especially on political and diplomatic fronts. He conveyed this appreciation during a cordial meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on the sidelines of the Peace Summit in Sharm El-Sheikh today.

According to Radio Pakistan, prior to the signing of the ceasefire agreement, both leaders held a warm and informal exchange. They reaffirmed the deep-rooted brotherly ties between Pakistan and Palestine, an enduring relationship cherished by the leadership and people of both nations.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif paid tribute to the resilient people of Gaza for their courage in enduring years of hardship. Both leaders expressed satisfaction over the ceasefire in Gaza, calling it a positive step toward regional peace and the progress of the Palestinian people.

King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain also joined the meeting and participated in the discussions.
