Pakistan’s Defence Made Impregnable on Youm-e-Takbeer: Sajida Farooq

Islamabad: Youm-e-Takbeer stands as a symbol of Pakistan’s unwavering resolve to safeguard the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. This was stated by Sajida Farooq Tarar, mother of Minister for Information and Broadcasting and senior PML-N leader Attaullah Tarar, in an exclusive interview with Radio Pakistan’s correspondent Qasim Bukhari.

According to Radio Pakistan, Sajida Farooq emphasized that this historic day commemorates the courageous decision of former Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, who rendered the country’s defense impregnable by ordering nuclear tests on 28 May 1998. She highlighted that it was Nawaz Sharif’s firm leadership that made Pakistan a nuclear power, sending a clear message to all hostile forces. Sajida Farooq noted that the nuclear capability continues to serve as a robust deterrent against external threats.

Referring to recent provocations by India, she mentioned that Pakistan’s Armed Forces responded with courage and professionalism to Indian aggression under the successful Operation Bunyanum-Marsoos. She stated that Pakistan’s military not only repelled the aggression but also thwarted India’s false propaganda campaign, compelling New Delhi to request a ceasefire.

Praising the role of Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, she said the Minister played a vital role in articulating Pakistan’s position to the global community. Sajida Farooq Tarar remarked that Attaullah Tarar represented Pakistan’s stance with clarity and confidence, effectively countering Indian disinformation with factual and logical arguments.

Sajida Farooq Tarar further stated that the Information Minister’s proactive engagement with international media projected Pakistan’s soft image and demonstrated the government’s diplomatic maturity during a time of regional tension.
