Islamabad: Pakistan's Ayla Majid has made history as she became the first Muslim and South Asian to be appointed as President of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. According to Radio Pakistan, Ayla Majid is the Chief Executive Officer of a firm that advises on decarbonization, sustainability, and energy transition. Ayla Majid will lead more than two hundred fifty-two thousand five hundred members and five hundred twenty-six thousand future members of ACCA across one hundred and eighty countries during her year-long term of office. She holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Lahore University of Management Sciences and a Bachelor of Law degree from the University of London.
