Islamabad: Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has declared that Pakistan’s armed forces are fully equipped and ready to address any challenges posed by Indian aggression. During a session in the National Assembly, Asif highlighted the steadfast efforts of the country’s forces in countering enemy actions along the Line of Control and the working boundary.
According to Radio Pakistan, Khawaja Asif emphasized that the strategic maneuvers of India have been effectively countered, leading to a significant demoralization among the Indian populace, media, and political factions. He remarked on the high morale maintained by Pakistani citizens, armed forces, political parties, and various societal groups. Notably, he mentioned the successful downing of five Indian fighter jets and drones, expressing national pride in the armed forces and affirming unwavering support from the entire nation.
On the diplomatic front, Asif noted that the Pakistani government is actively engaging with the global community, maintaining daily communications with allies, including China and the Gulf countries. He stated that these friendly nations have shown their support for Pakistan, and the country’s mission at the United Nations continues to effectively advocate Pakistan’s stance, with no international backing for India.
Earlier in the assembly discussion, Chief of JUI (F) Maulana Fazlur Rehman accused India of targeting mosques and Madaris, resulting in civilian casualties. He praised the robust and effective response of Pakistan’s armed forces to the Indian provocations and mentioned that his party is observing Youm-e-Difaa-e-Watan to denounce the Indian actions.
Minister for National Food Security, Rana Tanveer Hussain, lauded the Pakistani armed forces for consistently thwarting India’s hostile designs, asserting their standing as the world’s best. Meanwhile, Misbah Uddin commented on the futility of war as a solution but assured that Pakistan’s armed forces, supported by the nation, are fully capable of defending the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity if war becomes inevitable. Haji Rasool Bux Chandio also affirmed that any attempts to harm Pakistan would be firmly resisted.
