Washington: A flag hoisting ceremony was held at the Pakistan Embassy in Washington to mark Youm-i-Tashakkur. Addressing the ceremony, Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, emphasized the nation’s readiness to defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity.

According to Radio Pakistan, Ambassador Sheikh expressed gratitude to Allah for the remarkable success that the day commemorates. He acknowledged the role of Pakistan’s armed forces as the guarantors of freedom and paid tribute to the innocent people who sacrificed their lives for the country.

The Ambassador further highlighted that unprovoked Indian aggression has reinforced the spirit of nationhood among Pakistanis, who have faced such challenges with unwavering faith and conviction. He pointed out that the world recognizes the steadfastness of the Pakistani nation in defending its sovereignty.

Ambassador Sheikh called for embracing the spirit of operation Bunyanum-Marsoos to achieve economic progress and prosperity, underscoring the importance of unity and resilience in the nation’s journey towards a brighter future.
