Doha: A two-member parliamentary delegation from Pakistan is departing for Doha, Qatar tomorrow to attend the two-day meeting of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly. According to Radio Pakistan, PML-N's Parliamentary Party Leader in the Senate, Irfan Siddiqui, is leading the delegation, while PPP leader and Member of the National Assembly, Mirza Ikhtiar Baig, will also be accompanying him. The four-day meeting of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly's Standing Committee on Budget and Planning is set to commence tomorrow. This significant meeting will deliberate on a two-point agenda concerning the budget and planning of the Parliamentary Assembly. Pakistan is recognized as an active and dynamic member of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly, which comprises 43 countries from the region, including notable members such as China, Russia, India, and Saudi Arabia, among others. Additionally, fourteen other countries currently hold observer status within the organization.
