Budapest: Pakistan's Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi emphasized the necessity for comprehensive strategies to tackle irregular migration due to challenges such as prolonged conflicts, economic instability, and climate change. He delivered these remarks while addressing the 7th Budapest Process Ministerial Conference in Hungary. According to Radio Pakistan, Naqvi outlined several legislative and administrative measures Pakistan has implemented to curb irregular migration. He also stressed the importance of public awareness campaigns to highlight the dangers associated with migrant smuggling. Naqvi further stated that Pakistan is actively seeking to enhance bilateral agreements and establish talent partnerships with countries in the European Union and beyond. These efforts aim to promote and diversify legal migration pathways, addressing the rising anti-immigrant sentiments globally, which are often driven by populist rhetoric.
