New york: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has expressed satisfaction over positive developments for a ceasefire in Gaza. In a social media post on X, he affirmed Pakistan’s unwavering support for the Palestinian people and its commitment to standing by them.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister expressed gratitude to former President Donald Trump and the leadership of Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Turkiye, Jordan, Egypt, and Indonesia. These leaders met with Trump on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly session in New York to discuss the resolution of the Palestinian issue.

Shehbaz Sharif highlighted that a statement issued by Hamas presents an opportunity for a ceasefire and the establishment of peace. He emphasized the importance of not letting this opportunity pass. The Prime Minister reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to working with its partners and allied nations to achieve lasting peace in Palestine.
