Islamabad: Pakistan welcomes Hamas’ response to the plan announced by President Donald Trump.

According to Radio Pakistan, a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Islamabad stated that this development offers an important opportunity to secure an immediate ceasefire, end the bloodshed of innocent Palestinians in Gaza, ensure the release of hostages and Palestinian prisoners, ensure unhindered humanitarian assistance, and pave the way for a credible political process toward lasting peace.

The statement urged Israel to immediately cease attacks. It further expressed appreciation for President Trump’s efforts for peace in Gaza and conveyed hope that these efforts would lead to a durable ceasefire and a just, comprehensive, and lasting peace. Pakistan reiterated its commitment to contribute constructively and meaningfully to this process.

Pakistan reaffirmed its principled support for the Palestinian cause, expressing complete solidarity with the Palestinian people in their struggle for self-determination. The statement emphasized Pakistan’s support for the establishment of a sovereign, viable, and contiguous State of Palestine based on pre-1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital, in accordance with international legitimacy and relevant UN resolutions.
