Pakistan Vows Full-Force Response to Any Indian Misadventure

Islamabad: Pakistan will respond to any Indian misadventure with the full spectrum of power. This was stated by Pakistan’s Ambassador to Russia, Muhammad Khalid Jamli, in an exclusive interview with a foreign media outlet.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Ambassador highlighted recent developments in the backdrop of the Pahalgam incident. He mentioned India’s announcement of measures, including a reduction in the size of its mission, the closure of borders, and the suspension of the Indus Water Treaty. He explained that under this treaty, all water from the western rivers is intended to flow from north to south into Pakistan.

The Ambassador emphasized the critical role of agriculture for Pakistan, a nation of 240 million people, suggesting that any attempt by India to usurp, block, or divert the water of the lower riparian would be perceived as an act of war. Such actions, he warned, would be met with a full spectrum response from Pakistan.

Muhammad Khalid Jamli also noted the intense media coverage in India, coupled with what he described as irresponsible statements from Indian officials and certain leaked documents. These elements, he suggested, indicate that India might be planning targeted strikes in Pakistan.

He reiterated that Pakistan’s armed forces, with the support of its citizens, are prepared to respond with the full spectrum of power should any such plans materialize.
