Islamabad: Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has reiterated the country’s demand for Afghanistan to prevent the use of its territory for launching terrorist attacks against Pakistan. During a meeting with tribal notables at Cadet College Wana, Naqvi highlighted the involvement of cross-border elements in various terrorist activities, including a recent attack in Islamabad.
According to Radio Pakistan, Naqvi emphasized that Pakistan has repeatedly communicated its concerns to Afghanistan, urging its neighbor to take effective measures against the misuse of its soil. He also conveyed that the Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, has delivered firm messages to Afghan authorities, asserting that Pakistan will not compromise on matters of terrorism.
The tribal notables present at the meeting strongly condemned acts of terrorism and acknowledged the sacrifices made by security forces in the ongoing fight against this threat. They expressed their unwavering support for the security forces in their efforts to counter terrorism.
