Pakistan Suspends All Trade With Afghanistan: FO

Islamabad: Pakistan has announced the suspension of all trade activities with Afghanistan, citing security concerns and the Afghan regime’s alleged support for certain terror organizations. Foreign Office Spokesperson Tahir Andrabi confirmed that border crossings have been closed as part of this decision.

According to Radio Pakistan, during a weekly news briefing in Islamabad, Tahir Andrabi stated that the responsibility for the delay in reopening the border crossings falls on the Afghan Taliban. The spokesperson emphasized that the Afghan Taliban must cease its support for groups identified as Fitna al-Khawarij, Fitna al-Hindustan, and their affiliated terror organizations.

The move underscores growing tensions between the two nations, with Pakistan demanding concrete actions from the Afghan authorities to address its security concerns. The suspension of trade is expected to impact economic activities and cross-border interactions, with both countries needing to reach a resolution to restore normalcy.
