Pakistan Shaheen Triumph in Asia Cup Rising Stars Title with Super Over Victory


Islamabad: Pakistan Shaheens have clinched the title of the Asia Cup Rising Stars, defeating Bangladesh-A in a thrilling Super Over in Doha tonight. Batting first, Pakistan Shaheens scored 125 runs in the stipulated twenty overs. In reply, Bangladesh-A also made 125 runs for the loss of nine wickets, taking the match into a Super Over.



According to Radio Pakistan, in the Super Over, Bangladesh-A could only manage to score six runs, and Pakistan Shaheens comfortably chased down the seven-run target in just four balls to secure the championship title. Ahmed Daniyal was declared Player of the Match, while Maaz Sadaqat was named as Player of the Series.



Meanwhile, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has congratulated the nation on Pakistan’s remarkable victory in the final of Asia Cup Rising Stars. In a statement, the Prime Minister praised the Pakistan Shaheens for their exceptional display of skill, which enabled them to secure the coveted title.



He also lauded Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board Mohsin Raza Naqvi, team coaches, and PCB officials for their commendable contribution to this success. The Prime Minister said he, along with the entire nation, is proud of the Pakistani players who continue to bring honour to the country through their talent and performance on international platforms.
