Islamabad: Pakistan has dispatched an additional 200 tons of humanitarian relief supplies to Sri Lanka to support communities affected by the recent cyclonic storm.
According to Radio Pakistan, Minister for Maritime Affairs Muhammad Junaid Anwar Chaudhry, while talking to Sri Lankan leaders in Colombo, stated that the shipment dispatched by sea is expected to reach Sri Lanka on Saturday.
He mentioned that the consignment includes tents, blankets, quilts, mosquito nets, camping lamps, mats, life jackets, inflatable boats, dewatering pumps, medicines, milk powder, and ready-to-use therapeutic food. Chaudhry further noted that Pakistan Navy ships and aviation assets are also engaged in ongoing relief efforts in Sri Lanka.
