New york: Pakistan has reiterated its support for the resolution of the Ukraine conflict through dialogue and diplomacy. Speaking at the UN Security Council Briefing on Ukraine, Pakistan's Permanent Representative to the UN, Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, emphasized the severe human suffering resulting from the ongoing conflict.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Ambassador expressed hope that all involved parties would actively engage in diplomacy, demonstrate genuine political will, and foster mutual understanding. He urged constructive engagement to achieve meaningful progress towards a peaceful and negotiated settlement of the conflict, starting with an early ceasefire.

Asim Iftikhar highlighted Pakistan's commitment to supporting all initiatives aimed at bridging the divide and promoting a peaceful resolution.
