Islamabad: Pakistan has received the Council President Certificate award from the International Civil Aviation Organization for making significant improvements in aviation security.
According to Radio Pakistan, the award was given during the closing ceremony of the 42nd session of the International Civil Aviation Organization’s Assembly held in Canada. The honor was received by the Director General of the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority, Nadir Shafi Dar.
Speaking on the occasion, the Director General reaffirmed Pakistan’s continued commitment to the International Civil Aviation Organization’s standards and recommended practices. He emphasized the importance Pakistan places on aviation security, which is reflected in the results of the International Civil Aviation Organization’s audits of the country’s aviation sector.
