Islamabad: Pakistan's Defence Minister, Khawaja Muhammad Asif, has reiterated the country's unwavering commitment to regional peace and stability while emphasizing its readiness to defend its sovereignty with a swift and calculated response if necessary. Asif shared these remarks in a recent post on X.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Defence Minister's comments come amidst escalating tensions with India, particularly as the anniversary of the False Flag Operation in Pahlgam approaches. Asif criticized Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh's repeated rhetoric, describing it as a reflection of strategic anxiety rather than strength. He noted that the Pehlgam incident failed to endure international scrutiny, highlighting what he perceives as New Delhi's reliance on manufactured crises.

Asif further commented on the predictability of such threats, suggesting they are part of a pattern aimed at externalizing internal issues and provoking escalation for political gain. He warned of the consequences of miscalculation, referencing historical events like Marka-e-Haq, and asserted that any future response from Pakistan would be even more decisive.

The Defence Minister also cautioned against the dangerous illusion of space for war between nuclear states, underscoring the severe consequences of such a notion. He urged India to address its internal strategic and diplomatic challenges rather than resorting to threat-mongering.
