Pakistan Re-Establishes Strong Ties with US Amid India-US Relations Strain

Washington: Pakistan has re-established itself in Washington as an indispensable and reliable partner through its strategic prudence.

According to Radio Pakistan, India, which was considered a US ally, is now facing fifty percent US tariffs and being denied a presidential visit.

The relations between India and the US entered a deep freeze after India rejected the US claim of mediation over the Pakistan-India May 2025 conflict. Pakistan turned this crisis into a diplomatic opportunity and highly praised US President Donald Trump's role as a mediator.

Radio Pakistan further reported that Pakistan-US counterterrorism cooperation was restored, giving new life to the old pillars of the relationship. A major trade agreement reducing tariffs between Pakistan and the US was finalized in July 2025, marking a significant step in economic collaboration between the two nations.

In addition, President Donald Trump announced that the US and Pakistan would jointly develop major oil reserves, indicating a shared commitment to energy development. In December 2025, Pakistan received US approval for the upgrade of its F-16 aircraft, further strengthening military ties.

Donald Trump and his close advisers are reported to harbor strong discontent against the Indian government. Experts suggest that Pakistan has elevated its strategic importance and influence to new heights on the global stage.
