Islamabad: A signing ceremony was held in Islamabad to mark the outsourcing of Pakistan Railways’ schools as part of a new initiative to enhance educational standards. Railways Minister Hanif Abbasi was present to witness the event.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Railway Boys and Girls School in Karachi has been formally outsourced to TYMS Education System. Meanwhile, Railway Girls High School Mughalpura Lahore and Railway Girls Saint Andrews School and College Lahore have been handed over to SAGE/DAGE Education Pvt. Ltd.
This initiative is part of a Public-Private Partnership model aligned with the Prime Minister’s vision. It aims to modernize educational institutions across Pakistan and safeguard the rights of railway employees and their children. The private partners involved in this initiative will introduce a modern curriculum and advanced teaching methodologies. Additionally, they will implement an upgraded examination system, establish well-equipped science and computer laboratories, provide sports facilities, and renovate school buildings.
The move is seen as a significant step toward improving the quality of education and ensuring better facilities for students within the railway community.
