Pakistan Pursues Economy-Centric Foreign Policy for Global Eminence: Tarar

Islamabad: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to a pragmatic foreign policy centered on economic cooperation at a seminar titled ‘Pakistan in the Changing World’. His remarks underscored the government’s focus on leveraging economic strategies to bolster its international standing and diplomatic ties.

According to Radio Pakistan, Tarar highlighted the country’s improved international stature as evidence of the government’s effective economic and diplomatic policies. He pointed to positive assessments from international rating agencies, noting Pakistan’s transformation from economic uncertainty to a position of growing relevance on the world stage.

In his address, Tarar outlined the country’s vision for a foreign policy that prioritizes enhanced economic collaborations alongside diplomatic initiatives. He also referenced the Indo-Pak war in May, asserting that Pakistan’s resilience and unity were demonstrated through its victory and subsequent offer to India for an independent investigation into the Pahalgam incident.

Tarar emphasized Pakistan’s strengthened alliances and the interest from other countries in deepening cooperation. He reiterated that Pakistan refrains from engaging in blame games regarding cross-border terrorism, instead presenting irrefutable evidence and highlighting the nation’s sacrifices and economic losses in the fight against terrorism. The Minister concluded by honoring the martyrdom of soldiers, which he said reinforces Pakistan’s defense and commitment to combating terrorism.
