Pakistan Navy Praised for Successful Drug-Busting Operations in Arabian Sea

Islamabad:President Asif Ali Zardari has praised the Pakistan Navy for its successful efforts in combating drug trafficking in the Arabian Sea. He extended his congratulations to the officers and personnel of PNS Yarmook for their role in executing two counter-narcotics operations. The President highlighted the Navy's ongoing surveillance and vigilance as crucial to preventing drug trafficking at sea.

According to Radio Pakistan, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also commended the Pakistan Navy for these operations, noting their professional capabilities in seizing narcotics valued at approximately ninety-six million US dollars. He emphasized that these timely and successful operations are a significant step in combating drug trafficking within maritime areas.

The Prime Minister expressed pride in the Pakistan Navy's contribution to enhancing regional maritime security and preventing illegal activities at sea. He reaffirmed Pakistan's commitment to continuing efforts against drug trafficking, underscoring the nation's dedication to safeguarding regional security and stopping illicit trade through maritime routes.
