Pakistan: Pakistan is making significant progress in global economic partnerships due to the reform-oriented vision and investor-friendly strategy of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC).
According to Radio Pakistan, the United Kingdom has re-established its development partnership with Pakistan, announcing new initiatives in investment, trade, education, and climate cooperation. This announcement came during the visit of the UK's Minister of State for International Development and Africa, Baroness Jenny Chapman, to Pakistan. Her visit marked the first high-level development dialogue between the two countries in eight years.
British officials have stated that the new partnership will focus on investment and economic growth rather than traditional aid. This shift in focus aims to strengthen the economic ties between the two nations.
Bilateral trade between Pakistan and the UK has reached a record level of 5.5 billion pounds for the first time. Additionally, the number of British companies operating in Pakistan has exceeded 200, providing practical evidence of an improved investment climate and increased business confidence.
