Lahore: Pakistan has issued visas to more than two thousand one hundred Sikh Yatrees from India to attend the upcoming 556th birth anniversary celebrations of Baba Guru Nanak starting from Tuesday. The issuance of these visas marks an important cultural exchange between the two neighboring countries.
According to Radio Pakistan, the visas were granted under the 1974 Pakistan-India Protocol on Visits to Religious Shrines. This protocol facilitates the movement of pilgrims across the border to participate in religious events and visit sacred sites. The Sikh Yatrees will participate in various religious ceremonies during the celebrations.
