Pakistan Hopes for Comprehensive Solution to Palestine Issue After Gaza Ceasefire

Karachi: Pakistan has expressed hope of a comprehensive solution of the Palestine issue after Gaza ceasefire. Speaking in the UN Security Council, Pakistan’s permanent representative to the UN Ambassador Munir Akram voiced deep concern over the increasing threats faced by peacekeepers from the UN Interim Force in Lebanon and the United Nations Truce Supervision Organization. He also strongly condemned Israel’s ongoing aggression in Syrian territories.

According to Radio Pakistan, Ambassador Akram emphasized the urgency of addressing the underlying causes of the Palestine issue to ensure lasting peace in the region. He highlighted the need for international cooperation and dialogue to achieve a sustainable solution that respects the rights and aspirations of the Palestinian people.

The ambassador’s remarks come in the wake of a recent ceasefire in Gaza, which many hope will pave the way for renewed peace talks. Pakistan has consistently supported the Palestinian cause and called for an independent state of Palestine with pre-1967 borders and East Jerusalem as its capital.

Ambassador Akram’s statements at the UN Security Council reflect Pakistan’s continued commitment to advocating for peace and stability in the Middle East. The international community is urged to take meaningful steps towards resolving the longstanding conflict and ensuring security for all parties involved in the region.
