Islamabad: Ambassador of Qatar, Ali Mubarak Ali Essa Al Khater, called on Minister for Defence, Khawaja Muhammad Asif, in Islamabad today. Speaking on the occasion, the Minister emphasized that Pakistan attaches great value to its relations with Qatar.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Minister highlighted that Qatar is an important country for Pakistan and has a key role to play in the region. He stressed the need for both nations to work closely to enhance their cooperation beyond the economic domain. This includes expanding into areas such as defense, military exercises, training of personnel, and joint ventures.

The Minister also extended an invitation to the Qatari Armed Forces to avail themselves of the comprehensive training facilities available at Pakistan’s military institutions. The Qatari envoy, Ali Mubarak Ali Essa Al Khater, acknowledged the existing scope and scale of cooperation in the field of defense between the two countries.
