Pakistan Eyes Joint Ventures with Bahrain in Key Sectors


Islamabad: Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal has expressed Pakistan’s desire for joint collaboration with Bahrain in sectors including agriculture, IT, and fishing. Addressing a Pak-Bahrain conference in Islamabad, he highlighted the potential for partnership between the two nations.



According to Radio Pakistan, the Minister announced the establishment of a National Centre for Brand Development. This initiative aims to support Small and Medium Enterprises in projecting domestic products globally. Ahsan Iqbal emphasized the importance of increasing the country’s export volume to sustain economic growth. He noted that enhancing exports is crucial for ensuring revenue streams in dollars, thereby helping to avoid a current account deficit.



During the conference, Ahsan Iqbal urged businessmen to focus on capturing international markets by enhancing the quality of their products. The Minister’s remarks underline the importance of international collaboration and domestic innovation in driving Pakistan’s economic progress.
