Islamabad: Pakistan's Acting Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Usman Jadoon, has announced that Pakistan fully supports the Colombian government's efforts to strengthen its security. This statement was made during a United Nations Security Council briefing focused on Colombia.

According to Radio Pakistan, Ambassador Jadoon commended the UN Verification Mission's role in aiding the Colombian government with the implementation of the Peace Agreement. He emphasized the importance of the mission's presence on the ground, which operates under the mandate authorized by the Security Council.

Ambassador Jadoon further encouraged all involved parties to maintain the current positive momentum. He urged them to continue the peace-building process with a commitment to the full, sustainable, and integrated implementation of the Peace Agreement. The goal is to transform the promise of peace and hope into a tangible reality for all Colombians.
